Can the pursuit of brand excellence and company performance be bought? I’m thinking of the film Ford vs Ferrari that I watched recently in reference to this topic. I’m sure I’ll post another blog on this topic, this was my short form thought as I shared on my business Instagram. Join me here should you feel called.
Here’s the short answer: you can buy honest talent, and talent drives performance. Companies thrive on performance metrics: results, including quality financials and exceptional client experiences. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Talent is experienced and extraordinary.
Talent when displayed is in its zone of genius.
Talent knows what it’s doing. It’s been there before. It has learned and put in the time, it can turn lemons into lemonade on a dime.
Talent is superior individuals and teams executing an objective as good as — their performance is. Time and money are quantifiable. The feeling in experience, qualitative — which is highly impactful. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Performance comes down to executing with excellence. Time, money and experience in delivery (and/or overall journey) count, as mentioned. When you think about paying someone for “time” think about how much time they spent becoming the expert in their zone of genius to deliver results or support you delivering results in a timely fashion that save or make you money, or usher you closer to your bigger picture objective sooner than you could have arrived there alone.

Who can do the job best? Whoever those individuals and teams are, they can be enlisted, PAID professionals and execute on performance. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

A pro QB isn’t going to execute his genius and lead a team w/o a contract
Kate Moss isn’t going to show up at her shoot to sell millions of people wares she advocates w/o an agreement
Kim Kardashian likely won’t shout you out to her loyal tribe with her seal of approval w/o an agreement unless it’s a cause or person she loves
A world class driver or mechanic or engineer isn’t going to give their talent away without a what’s in it for them
A hedge fund manager isn’t going to execute their strategy w/o the agreement of a return on performance
A leader isn’t going to run his or her talented team to the max w/o compensating them for their genius in execution working collectively
And so the list goes

What is performance worth? The investment of TALENT.
