Clean makeup is more than a want in every woman’s daily routine: it’s a necessity should you wish a healthy, glowing, detoxed, glowing face. “How you do one thing is how you do everything”. This quote is a favorite of mine that Shanda Sumpter, my sister, friend and mentor, has instilled in my since I met her.
Annie Lawless, Lawless clean make-up founder and CEO, rocks this quote like breathing air. Annie first rocked it with her first company Suja Juice in a multi 8-figure partial sale to Coca Cola; the woman is smart and an action taker. She’s also a TedX speaker who landed her point around the importance of health which organically birthed Suja juice (her road to health through juicing, aka her creating a solution). Annie’s latest baby is Lawless, a chic, clean make-up company.
The Clean Makeup Differentiator With Lawless
Clean makeup HAS been around, this is not a new concept. What is new concept that Lawless nails it on, is being a clean makeup company that has true wearability and staying power, pigmentation that pops. Many clean make-up companies deliver (and there are many I love for various reasons and various products), though I can agree for the most part there has been a gap in the market or at minimum room for growth in the area of clean makeup that wears, builds and stays like some of our much less clean favorites.
How you do one thing is how you do everything, am I right?! If you’re cleaning up what you put on the inside you get to clean up what you put on the outside. Clean makeup is a huge deal for many of us women as we LOVE the ritual of getting ready and often putting make-up on be it gloss, a smokey eye or the works. Make-up is self expression and makes us feel good. Skin just happens to be the largest organ we have and taking care of it, and what it absorbs, is something that gets to be paid attention to at all costs.
Side note: Lawless has 30% off site wide at www.lawless.com until 11:59pm PST tonight w/free domestic shipping in the USA.
Something Shanda’s teaches everyone to do is to powerfully use their voice for good. I can hear her saying, “Stand for something already! What is your strong point of view? Help others using your gifts and serve as many people as possible, and do it on purpose. Make an impact. Don’t be quiet about it!” Love her.
Today is a simple shout out to Annie, Lawless’ CEO, for leading by example and being herself, serving others, doing good, doing what she loves and doing it on purpose.
Share this with someone who needs a little Lawless clean makeup in their life or who needs to hear the message that you can do what you love and make a living doing it. Everything is possible when you put your mind to it – and SHARE.
